The American dream is dead, and Los Angeles is burning. Stoned and porn-addicted surfer Baxter Kent is terrified of women and anxious to make things work with a sex robot. Acid junkie Arden Coover has a useless philosophy degree and a doomed relationship he believes might save him. His younger sister Tess is considering, or resisting, a convenient but loveless marriage to a wealthy, narcissistic novelist. Ryland Richter, an alcoholic insurance executive with too much money and too few scruples, is seeking toxic solace in the arms of a dangerously unhinged subordinate. As wildfires rage, this lost and hopeless cast makes their way through the embers of Los Angeles and beyond in a desperate search for meaning and connection in a world without a future. Chandler Morrison’s latest satire explores our search for love in all the wrong places, and what happens when we think we find it.

“When I wasn’t reading this book, I wanted to be. I need stories like this from Morrison until the end of time.” –Sadie Hartmann, author of 101 Horror Books to Read Before You’re Murdered
“A master of iconoclastic satire and deftly turned plot points, American Narcissus showcases author Chandler Morrison’s genuine flair for originality and the kind of narrative storytelling style that keeps and holds the reader’s rapt attention from start to finish.” — Midwest Book Review
“American Narcissus is Morrison at his scathing, satirical best…A darkly comic search through the spiritual decay of LA–and our modern age–where there may be no soul to find at all.” —Ryan Harding, Splatterpunk award-winning author of Transcendental Mutilation
“American Narcissus is a beautiful tragedy in which Morrison’s unrelenting voice shines through…This is the book he was meant to write.” —Autumn Christian, author of Girl Like a Bomb
“Chandler Morrison is of the most visceral and uncompromising writers of his generation, and Dead Inside is a nightmarish, unforgettable work of fiction.” —Donald Ray Pollock, author of The Devil All the Time
“No blurb will be able to fully convey how great this book is. Chandler Morrison’s voice is unique, stylish and powerful. Required reading for fans of Brett Easton Ellis, Tom Piccirilli or Chuck Palahniuk.” —Brian Keene, Author of The Rising, Ghoul
“Exquisite in its bleakness and compulsively readable, American Narcissus will speak to anyone who has ever freewheeled towards oblivion, chosen toxicity as a mode of comfort, or sought love and meaning from the worst possible source.” —HLR, author of History of Present Complaint and EX-CETERA
“It’s very difficult to describe a Chandler Morrison novel–you kind of have to experience them for yourself to get what he’s doing–but it is quite easy to say that this is one of the most entertaining, thoughtful, and just plain weird novels you’re likely to read this year.”–Booklist
“With American Narcissus, Chandler Morrison once again shows us why he’s one of the best contemporary LA novelists and chroniclers of our disconnected, disaffected modern existence. No amount of wealth, fame, drugs, or sex can fill the emptiness at the cores of Morrison’s gorgeous yet emotionally stunted cast. A timely meditation on the horror of having it all.”–Brian Asman, author of Man, Fuck This House

Special 30th Anniversary Edition featuring a new foreword from the author
Novice reporter Kate Murray is determined to make a career for herself covering crime for a New York City tabloid. But after she botches a big murder story- writing that the victim was a Harvard-bound undergraduate instead of a notorious crack dealer- her bosses give her six months to redeem herself. Kate scrutinizes the police activity reports on a Sunday morning, searching among the Saturday-night homicides for a victim the public will care about. She finds one. Margaret Severing, a hard-working nurse, is inexplicably shot to death in the lobby of her building in Bushwick, and Kate is determined to beat everyone- including the cops- to the story. Her investigation leads her to two men. Detective John Finn, who has just had a close scrape with death, decides that Kate is his last chance at love. Dominick Donatti, a brooding psychopath and the only witness to the nurse’s murder, sees Kate as his ticket out of the neighborhood. Kate is attracted to Finn and repelled by Dominick, but she knows both men can get her onto the front page. She begins a dangerous dance, protecting herself from increasingly obsessive and violent Dominick and trying not to lose her heart to Finn. By the time Kate Murray, John Finn, and Dominick Donatti meet in the same room, ambition must take a backseat to survival. And the shattering climax leaves none of them unchanged.

COVER REVEAL for the last Splatter Western of the year! “ALL OF YOUR DREAMS WILL COME TRUE WHEN YOU’RE DEAD” by John Wayne Comunale (The Cadillac Man, Sinkhole) releases on October 31st.
The cover is just a complete stunner by Justin T. Coons and masterfully incorporates those bright pops of vivid color John Wayne’s works are known for.
The culling took most of the men from Cochran Texas away to a dusty old town that exists between this plane and the next called Cocytus. Run by a maniacal power-hungry man named Lycus and his adopted protégé daughter Alastor, he conducts chaos with the help of a group of bandits called Calamity Three. His goal: tip the cosmic scales to bring the Void crashing into the world and claim the place of power to which he believes he is owed. Loyalty is a flimsy commodity in Cocytus, and with Behemoth rushing from the celestial abyss to heed a distant call this small Texas town nestled somewhere between here and hell has no idea what’s in store.

CRUEL ANGELS PAST SUNDOWN is now available in audiobook! Written by Bram Stoker Award-winning author Hailey Piper (A Light Most Hateful, Queen of Teeth) and narrated by Jenn Lee (Queen of Teeth, White Trash & Recycled Nightmares).
New Mexico Territory, 1882: She comes to the Klein ranch at sunset, a strange naked pregnant woman dragging a cavalry saber. Annette Klein and her husband have built peace between their marriage and secret relations beyond, but their serenity dies in bloodshed tonight through a cannibalistic demon and a mad preacher. Annette barely escapes the bloodbath to the nearby town of Low’s Bend, where she might find safety with a shotgun-toting barkeep, two no-nonsense boarding room ladies, and the gunslinging bounty hunter who’s captured Annette’s heart. But hell is at her heels. If she’s going to survive until dawn, she’ll have to forget everything she knows about peace and mercy, and face a hollow malevolence more ancient and ruthless than she’s ever imagined.
Written by Hailey Piper, Narrated by Jenn Lee, Cover by Justin T. Coons
